This morning, we headed east toward the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Since Mae refused to take her second nap while we drove, we leveled the trailer in the parking lot of the Painted Cove Trailhead and set up camp while she slept in her crib. @advodna_ann and I may have also caught a little rest while Wynne watched "A Bug's Life" and we waited out a few showers. A short boardwalk winds through crackled clay left behind from when the area was a massive floodplain, each layer of color representing a different mineral content and time period. #airstream #liveriveted #airstreamwithkids #paintedhills #traveloregon
