The area where the Russian River dumps into the Kenai River is a mecca for salmon fishermen around Alaska, even around the world. Even on a Monday, there's a lot of activity around our spot in the parking area for the ferry, actually just a small green barge attached to some lines strung to the opposite bank that uses the rushing current to angle its way across the river with the next load of, well, "anglers" looking to take their place in the rows wading knee deep waiting for a bite. #kenai #russianriver #salmonchantedevening
