Our Drive SF to Panama

In November of 2010, a month after getting married in Lake Tahoe, we left San Francisco to drive through Mexico and into Central America on an “open-ended honeymoon.” At times, we considered shipping across the Darien Gap to Columbia to continue the drive in South America. Heck, we talked about shipping the truck to Africa after that! In the end, 5 months and 10,000 miles from San Francisco to Panama turned out to be the change we needed to break ourselves out of our rut and we returned home, excited for our next challenge and knowing that the road would always be there when we were ready again.
