We’ve decided to continue the rest of our trip in a camper. Oh wait, I should have specified that I wasn’t talking about *this* camper. My bad. But really, we have decided to shorten our time in Mexico a bit and will be heading back to the US in mid-April, stopping off in southern Utah for a week in a camper with some nomadic breeder besties before heading home. #datsuncamperlife #datsun

The Centro has been packed since Thursday, the streets converted to restaurants and souvenirs stalls. Our plan was to go outside of town to meet some friends, but after an hour of looking, 6 taxis had refused to brave the traffic to get free of the Centro, and we gave up. Of course, the moment we did, the 7th cab agreed, and we escaped! #semanasanta #guanajuato

Our morning #worldschool art session was a portrait of Frida Kahlo loosely based on a t-shirt we bought the other day. I gotta say, I’m kinda impressed with us both! Right is Wynne, age 6. Left is Dave, age 46 (in a week). Huge credit goes to @artforkidshub for teaching us how to break down a drawing into the basic parts and taking it step by step. And the most important thing? HAVE FUN! #artforkidshub #frida #fridakahlo #worldschooling

Decide to get one of these delicious rotisserie chickens to bring home for dinner. Realize I don’t have enough cash. Walk a block to the usual bank with the ATMs in the front lobby. Request $1500MX ($75 USD). Service unavailable. Request $1000MX. Service unavailable. Request $500MX. Service unavailable. Walk eight blocks to the ATM in the hotel lobby that worked that one time. Request $500MX. Service unavailable. Walk across the street to the ATM that has never worked. Request $1500MX. Service unavailable. Request $500MX. One $500MX bill dispensed. Walk across the street to the OXXO (think 7-11) and grab two small packs of Chips Ahoy since they’re one of the only places that will break a $500MX bill. Avoid eye-roll at buying $2 in cookies with what is basically a twenty. Collect change. Walk four blocks back to chicken place. #adayinthevida
